Step 1
Go to: https://mail.ubbcluj.ro
You will see the following window on your screen:
Enter your Babeș-Bolyai University username (email) and press Next.
Step 2
You will see the following window on your screen:
Enter the initial password you received.
Note: the initial password must be changed after accessing the Microsoft 365 platform.
Press Sign in.
Step 3
You will see the following window on your screen:
Press Next.
Step 4
You will be prompted to add a multi-factor verification method to your account. You can add the Microsoft Authenticator app (method 1) or your phone number (method 2). Bellow you can see the steps for adding your chosen method.
1. Setting up Microsoft Authenticator app
We recommend using a desktop computer or simial for the initial setup.
Download Microsoft Authenticator to your mobile device. Select Next once you’ve done this.
Open the Microsoft Authenticator app on your phone. If prompted, allow notifications. Open the app and select Add work or school account. Select Scan a QR code.
You will see a QR code on your desktop screen. Use the Microsoft Authenticator app on your phone to scan the QR code. Select Next on your desktop screen.
You will be prompted to test Microsoft Authenticator. Enter the numbers that appear on your desktop screen into Microsoft Authenticator on your mobile device. Select next and Finish on your desktop screen.
Make sure you keep the app set up on your phone. If you delete the app, you may be locked out of your account unless you have set up another authentication method.
If you get a new phone, you will need to set up the app again on your new device before you delete the app from your old phone.
2. Setting up your phone number for verification (text message or call)
Select I want to set up a different method. From the
Select Phone from the list and select Next/Add.
Enter your mobile number and select “Receive a code/Text me a code“. Select Next to continue.
You’ll receive a text message containing a six-digit number from Microsoft. Enter the verification code in the boc, and select Next and Finish.
To access Microsoft 365 access the 
menu and select chosen apps.
